Broda Seating is a manufacturer of health care seating. Since 1981 they have been creating specialty seating for hospitals, nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Broda® chairs incorporate their Comfort Tension Seating™ system that allows proper heat and moisture exchange as well as suspending residents to minimize seating pressures. Their products are synonymous with quality and as their reputation continues to grow, so does the demand for their product. This year their production demand will have increased to over 6,500 chairs.

Scott Hunter and Phil McTaggart of Broda needed to find a software solution that would help them to manage their growth by having better visibility of materials requirement, production flow and inventory. “We had outgrown our previous system and needed to get a handle on production, so that we could continue to grow to meet the market demand. Our goal was to find a solution provider that could help us to overcome our bottleneck,” states Scott Hunter, Purchasing/Inventory Control Manager. “That’s when we “asked Dave” to help up find the right solution.”

Finished goods inventory on evaluation can now be tracked within the system. As well, production lead times have decreased as the result of accurate and timely production orders generated within Navision.
