Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing business education to youth. Within the Waterloo Region, JA provides a valuable business learning experience for over 12,000 students. "Many of the over 700 volunteers required to successfully provide our programs come from corporate sponsors," says Steve Knipping, Board President for Junior Achievement. "Our programs provide students from Grade 3 through Grade 12 with the opportunity to learn about everything from business basics through to running their own business and Second Foundation helps us through sponsorship and volunteer activities. We invite you to become a part of the JA experience."

"Invest, Involve, Inspire" is a JA phrase that resonates with Second Foundation. "We recognize the value of our youth and are helping them gain valuable knowledge about the world of business and finance," states David Popowich of Second Foundation. "We chose Junior Achievement as our primary charitable cause, and we support them through both sponsorship and volunteer efforts."

"Volunteers often tell us that they get far more out of teaching JA programs, than they give," says Don Critelli of Second Foundation, a JA volunteer and board member. "As a volunteer, you can share your expertise, hone your presentation skills, act as a role model, and inspire the leaders of tomorrow. We still need a large number of volunteers and sponsors from the local business community to help us with our programs."
