VARBusiness Magazine. November 14, 2005 - Now in its third year, the VARBusiness 2005 Tech Innovators Awards has established itself as a premiere competition and event for revealing compelling IT products; product submissions this year rose to nearly 550 entries in 11 different technology categories. Entries came in from IT vendors of all sizes and technology disciplines. Categories spanned printing and peripherals to enterprise software, client/network security to storage and more. Products were judged in two stages: a first-round examination by VARBusiness' team of technology editors, followed by a final selection by a panel of judges from the solution-provider community.

Microsoft, and specifically Microsoft Dynamics NAV, was chosen by top tier channel publication VARBusiness to receive the Tech Innovator 2005 award in the SMB software category. The awards are based on a broad survey of the IT industry, focusing on innovation and development. Products are evaluated in 11 different categories, from wireless/mobile to SMB software to server-based computing.

This award is based on nominations from VARs and Solution Providers. In awarding the prize, emphasis was placed on Microsoft Navision's ability to integrate, its built-in tools to optimize the solution to customers' business processes - and not in the least - the product's ability to provide great business opportunities for partners. This award is a vote of confidence from our partners, who interface with customers every day. It's an accomplishment we can all be proud of.
