February 2010 - Danish Meat Trade College selects the Second Foundation team and NaviMeat™

KITCHENER, ONTARIO, CANADA - February 12, 2010 – Kitchener, ON – Second Foundation announces that The Danish Meat Trade College of Denmark (DMTC) has chosen NaviMeat™ as the ERP platform of choice for training their students.

As one of Europe’s premiere institutes, the College’s growth and sustainability required a system that integrated multiple processes, was user friendly and provided a Systems Solution that surpassed DMTC’s requirements for process efficiencies and traceability. With over 10,000 students being educated and trained annually through the slaughter, and meat processing industries DMTC looked to Second Foundation to implement a system that could not only track the product from the beginning stable stage to the end consumer stage, but also to provide a hands on approach for training and education to their students.

About DMTC- The Danish Meat Trade College DMTC is an independent Education and Training Centre, founded in 1964, covering education and training at the vocational education and training, technical education and continuing training levels. Students at DMTC are trained in areas including slaughtering, retail cutting and meat delicatessen, food processing, pharmaceutical.

In 2009 DMTC started the construction of a new training facility covering all aspects from stable to table. This state-of-the-art training facility covers stable, slaughtering, cutting, deboning, further meat processing, shops and restaurant. In addition to training students, the facility will act as a visitor centre that various professional groups and other education institutions will gain better visual and technical understanding of the meat industry including hygiene, nutrition, and technology. The new facility will be finalised in 2011.
